New Product Development (NPD) SpecialistRiyadh, Saudi ArabiaAbout the RoleWe are seeking a highly motivated and innovative New Product Development (NPD) Specialist to join a leading food manufacturing business in Riyadh.The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and improving bakery, pastry, confectionery, and dessert products from concept to commercialization, while ensuring product quality, scalability, cost efficiency, and alignment with consumer and market trends.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop new bakery, pastry, confectionery, and dessert products from concept through commercial launch.Optimize existing products to enhance quality, consistency, and cost efficiency.Conduct product trials, pilot runs, and factory validations.Collaborate with Production, Quality, Procurement, and Commercial teams throughout the development process.Prepare product specifications, recipes, formulations, and technical documentation.Evaluate ingredients and raw materials for new product development initiatives.Support factory implementation, scale-up activities, and successful product launches.Monitor market trends, consumer preferences, and competitor products to identify innovation opportunities.Ensure compliance with food safety, quality, and regulatory standards.QualificationsBachelor’s Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Nutrition, or a related field.3–5 years of experience in New Product Development within the food manufacturing industry.Strong experience in bakery, pastry, confectionery, dessert, or snack product development.Solid understanding of food ingredients, formulations, and manufacturing processes.Experience in product trials, validations, and factory implementation.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.Good command of English.Preferred Industry ExperienceIndustrial Bakery ManufacturingConfectionery ManufacturingPastry & Dessert ProductionSnack Food ManufacturingFMCG Food ManufacturingCentral Kitchen & Commissary Operations
