This field-based position requires extensive travel to new restaurant locations, where the NRO Manager oversees the complete training process, develops trainer capabilities, and supports restaurant operations during the crucial opening period. The role demands exceptional flexibility, strong coaching abilities, and the capacity to thrive in high-pressure, fast-paced environments while maintaining the company's commitment to quality and consistency.Top 5 Accountabilities
- Training Program Leadership – Orchestrate comprehensive training strategies at new restaurant openings to establish operational excellence from day one, executing consistent training facilitation aligned with business objectives, providing strategic operational support during critical opening phases, and partnering with operations leadership to problem-solve in real time; drive continuous improvement through analysis of program effectiveness and field feedback.
- Team Leadership & Development – Build and lead high-performing trainer teams across multiple restaurant locations, architecting coaching and mentorship frameworks for trainer advancement, implementing systematic feedback and performance evaluations, and cultivating a culture of excellence and continuous learning.
- Trainer Recruitment & Development – Execute talent acquisition initiatives to build a robust pipeline of qualified trainers, designing selection frameworks and assessment/interview processes based on job-related performance criteria, demonstrated competencies, and behaviors consistent with Jim 'N Nick's Core Values, and implementing readiness and development programs — leveraging both technology platforms and in-person sessions — to optimize trainer performance.
- Content Development & Training Design – Architect training content and facilitation resources that drive measurable outcomes, designing multi-modal training experiences across presentation, classroom, and experiential formats, and maintaining dynamic content libraries that reflect best practices, operational standards, and organizational culture.
- NRO Preparation & Logistics – Lead cross-functional coordination with operations and support departments to plan and execute new restaurant openings, managing logistical frameworks including accommodation and travel arrangements, team deployment, payroll administration, material sourcing, and restaurant setup strategies that optimize the training environment.Additional Responsibilities
- Assist with training rollouts and initiatives in existing restaurants between scheduled openings
- Deploy and lead TIGER teams (specialized trainer task forces) to provide onsite coaching and hands-on support to underperforming restaurants
- Support managers on shift during TIGER team engagements to reinforce training standards
- Develop action plans for training deliverables and monitor results, including long-term ROI analysisSuccess MetricsPerformance in this role may be evaluated based on:

- Trainer team performance, readiness, and retention across assigned openings

- 5+ years of experience in restaurant operations, training, or a similar field
- Demonstrated experience leading teams and managing training programs
- Strong background in restaurant operations with an understanding of front-of-house and back-of-house functions
- Experience operating effectively in high-pressure, fast-paced environmentsEducation High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in Business, Hospitality, or a related field preferred.Experience
