Nepcoms is committed to helping learners achieve their academic objectives through personalized counseling and support.Role Description The New Zealand/UK Counselor (1-1) is a full-time, on-site role based in Nepal, providing individual counseling to students interested in studying in New Zealand and the United Kingdom. The counselor will guide students through country and institution selection, program options, admission requirements, scholarship opportunities, and visa processes. Daily responsibilities include conducting one-on-one consultations, assessing academic and financial profiles, preparing application documentation, and coordinating with international education partners. The role involves maintaining accurate student records, following up on application status, and delivering timely updates and advice. The counselor will also participate in information sessions, outreach activities, and collaborate with colleagues to ensure high-quality, ethical student support.Qualifications Strong counseling and advisory skills, with the ability to conduct structured one-on-one guidance sessions for students.Knowledge of education systems, admission processes, and visa requirements for New Zealand and the UK.Excellent communication skills in English and local languages, including clear speaking, active listening, and professional writing.Ability to manage multiple student cases, maintain organized records, and meet deadlines with attention to detail.Customer service orientation, with a focus on empathy, cultural sensitivity, and ethical student support.Comfort working with basic office software and online platforms for applications, documentation, and reporting.Bachelor’s degree in Counseling, Education, Management, or a related field; experience in education consultancy or overseas study counseling is an advantage.Familiarity with standardized tests such as TOEFL, IELTS, SAT, GRE, and GMAT, and the role they play in international admissions is beneficial.Ability to work on-site in Nepal during standard office hours and collaborate effectively within a team environment.
