The News Anchor will present news stories on camera, deliver live and recorded segments, and maintain a professional on-air presence across digital and broadcast platforms. Daily responsibilities include reviewing and writing scripts, collaborating with producers and reporters, verifying information, and preparing for interviews and special features. The News Anchor will participate in editorial meetings, contribute to story development, and adapt content for different formats and audiences. The role also involves engaging with viewers across digital channels, adhering to journalistic standards, and supporting the broader content and production team as needed.Qualifications Candidates should possess strong Reporting skills, including gathering information, interviewing sources, and compiling accurate news stories.Candidates should possess Broadcasting and Presenter skills to deliver clear, engaging, and professional on-air performances.Candidates should possess News Writing and Broadcast Journalism skills to craft scripts and stories aligned with editorial and ethical standards.Candidates should possess the ability to work effectively with producers, camera crews, and editors, and to adapt to fast-paced, deadline-driven environments.Relevant qualifications such as a degree or diploma in Journalism, Media, Communications, or a related field are beneficial.Previous experience as a news anchor, reporter, or presenter, preferably in TV or digital media, is highly advantageous.Excellent verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in additional languages is a plus.Strong on-camera presence, professional demeanor, and familiarity with current events, especially in the region.
