About Hamilton BradshawHamilton Bradshaw is the private investment firm of James Caan CBE, widely recognised for his role on the BBC’s Dragons' Den.For more than 20 years, we have invested directly in over 33 businesses, typically taking majority stakes and partnering with founders to scale service-led companies across sectors including financial services, real estate, digital media and marketing.We have recently invested in a new architecture and design practice headquartered in Dubai, focused on high-end hospitality, residential and mixed-use projects across the GCC and internationally.The RoleWe are seeking an experienced, well-connected Non-Executive Director / Strategic Adviser to support the founder and Board as the practice establishes and grows its presence across Saudi Arabia and the wider GCC.This is intended to be a hands-on and commercially focused role. We are looking for someone who understands how business is won and delivered in Saudi Arabia, can provide practical advice on live opportunities, and has the local relationships to help an entrepreneurial architecture practice establish itself in the market.The role will include:Supporting the founder on live pitches, proposals and client strategy.Advising on pricing, commercial positioning and how best to approach and convert opportunities.Providing insight into the Saudi architecture, design and development market and how projects are commissioned and awarded.Making relevant introductions to potential clients, partners and other key decision-makers.Helping identify and develop new commercial opportunities.Advising on how to navigate local business networks and decision-making structures.Providing practical strategic advice as the business establishes and scales its Saudi presence.Acting as a sounding board to the founder and providing constructive commercial challenge.Supporting the Board on the wider development of the practice across Saudi Arabia and the GCC.About YouWe are looking for someone who combines strong Saudi market knowledge with a practical, entrepreneurial approach.The ideal candidate will bring:Current Saudi Arabia-based experience, ideally with strong knowledge and relationships in Jeddah and/or coverage across both Jeddah and Riyadh.A strong private-sector background, ideally within architecture, design, real estate, hospitality, development or a closely related sector.A well-developed and current network of relevant contacts across the Saudi private sector.Experience supporting founders, entrepreneurial businesses, startups or growing professional-services firms.A strong understanding of how architecture and design opportunities are originated, pitched, priced and won in Saudi Arabia.The ability and willingness to provide practical support on live commercial opportunities rather than operating solely at a high-level Board capacity.Strong commercial judgement and the confidence to constructively challenge and advise the founder.Wider GCC experience and relationships would be advantageous.We are particularly interested in someone who is accessible, engaged and willing to work closely with the founder, rather than a senior industry figure whose experience is primarily suited to governance roles within large established organisations.The OpportunityThis is an opportunity to play an influential role in building a new architecture and design practice with significant ambitions across Saudi Arabia and the wider GCC.The successful candidate will work closely with the founder, Hamilton Bradshaw investment team and Board, with the opportunity to make a direct contribution to the practice's commercial development and growth.Competitive, market-aligned remuneration will be offered.
