Mizuho Pune is being developed as an integrated extension of the global NFR and wider Risk organization, providing scalable, follow-the-sun risk management capabilities across MUSO’s Corporate & Investment Bank (CIB).The NFR Analyst / Associate will be part of the Pune NFR capability and will support the NFR India Lead in delivering high-quality risk governance, reporting, analytics, review and challenge, issue tracking, and stakeholder support. The role is suited for a developing risk professional who can work with data, processes and stakeholders to identify risk themes, improve transparency, and support timely escalation and remediation.

Key Responsibilities

Support the build-out and ongoing operation of the NFR capability in Mizuho Pune, working closely with the NFR India Lead and global NFR stakeholders.Assist with first-level review of key NFR information, including risk appetite metrics, risk events, RCSA outputs, KRIs, control indicators and management information.Analyze risk data to identify trends, anomalies, recurring issues and areas that may require management attention or further review.Support RCSA transformation, quality assurance activities and review of areas where risks may be under-assessed or where control outcomes indicate emerging concerns.Prepare, maintain and enhance recurring NFR reporting, dashboards, governance materials and management information to support risk oversight and decision-making.Track actions, issues, escalations and remediation plans to support timely closure and effective management visibility.Partner with teams across MUSO Risk, Business, Operations and Technology to gather inputs, validate information, challenge data and follow up on open items.Identify opportunities to simplify, standardize and automate recurring reporting, control and governance processes.Support the controlled use of analytics, automation and AI-enabled approaches to improve risk identification, reporting quality and process efficiency, ensuring outputs remain explainable and auditable.Contribute to a strong risk culture within the Pune NFR team by demonstrating ownership, attention to detail and constructive challenge.Experience & Skills:Required:5–12 years of experience in Non-Financial Risk, Operational Risk, Controls, Internal Audit, Compliance, Risk Reporting or a related risk management function within a financial institution.Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science or a related discipline.Good understanding of RCSA, risk events, KRIs, risk appetite, controls, issues management and operational risk governance.Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess risk data, identify patterns and translate findings into clear and actionable commentary.Experience preparing management information, dashboards, governance packs or risk reporting materials.Strong attention to detail, ownership mindset and ability to manage recurring deliverables accurately and on time.Good communication and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to present risk information clearly and work effectively across regions and functions.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with workflow, reporting or analytics tools is beneficial.Preferred:Experience supporting CIB, Markets, Banking or Treasury businesses.Exposure to global or follow-the-sun operating models, including India-based risk or controls teams.Experience with RCSA transformation, controls testing, risk analytics, reporting automation or process improvement initiatives.Familiarity with data visualization, automation or AI-enabled risk reporting tools.Success in the Role:Success will be measured by the ability to provide reliable analytical and execution support to the Pune NFR capability, deliver accurate and timely risk reporting, contribute to effective review and challenge, maintain strong tracking of issues and actions, and help simplify, standardize and automate recurring NFR processes.
