Its flagship product, the ClearCoast™ system, is a portable and intuitive MRI scanner designed to assist in intra-operative margin assessment during Breast Conserving Surgery (BCS). The company has successfully completed clinical trials, obtained European market access, and has begun commercial sales.Role DescriptionWe are entering a critical scale-up phase and are seeking an NPI and operations engineer to support all of the company’s operational activities across manufacturing, field service, and R&D.This is a technical hands-on role that will require deep technical familiarity with the company’s flagship product – The ClearCoast MRI device. The NPI & Operations Engineer will work closely with the Operations Manager to assisit in manufacturing of new systems and disposable units, support mass prodcution lines and field operations. In addition, NPI & Operations Engineer will also assist R&D and other team memebers with operational tasks.This role reports directly to the VP R&D and Operations.Roles & Responsibilities:Support production and engineering activities related to purchasing, logistics and manufacturing of MRI systems and disposable units.Take part in systems and disposables manufacturing as the company transitions to mass production. Resolve and handle technical and operational issues in production lines, releasing bottle-necks.Handle incoming inspection and final production calibrations and tests.Support field systems installations and maintenance.Support R&D activities with lab experiments and tests.Requirements B.Sc in Engineering in one of the following fields: Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or equivalent education2-5 years' experience in operations, manufacturing and service for capital equipment in the medical device industryPractical experience assembling multidesiplinary devices invlolving mecahnical/electrical components and software.Proven hands-on high technical skills. Familiarity with technical tools, measurement devices and methods in mechanical and electrical engineering.Experience in reading mechanical drawings and understand technical datasheets.Ability to travel to manufacturing and supplier sites in Northern Israel and willingness to travel abroad as needed (about once in two months)Good English - speaking, reading, and writing.Basic experience with SolidWorks and Matlab – a significant advantage
