We are looking for an experienced, motivated and passionate Nursery Manager to lead our team at Banana Moon Day Nursery Hounslow.This is an exciting opportunity for an established Nursery Manager ready to take the next step, to take responsibility for the day-to-day leadership and continued development of the nursery.As Nursery Manager, you will have overall responsibility for maintaining high standards of childcare, safeguarding, education and operational performance. You will lead and support the nursery team, build strong relationships with children and families, and ensure that the nursery provides a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment in which every child can thrive.You will work closely with the Directors and wider Banana Moon support network to develop the nursery, maintain high standards and continue to grow occupancy while ensuring that quality of care remains at the heart of everything we do.Salary: £47,000-£50,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the day-to-day operation of the nursery and provide strong, visible leadership to the teamEnsure the nursery consistently delivers high-quality care and education in accordance with the EYFSMaintain the highest standards of safeguarding, health and safety and child welfareLead, motivate and develop nursery practitioners, room leaders and the management teamSupport staff through effective supervision, coaching, training and performance managementMaintain appropriate staffing levels, deployment and ratios throughout the nurseryEnsure nursery policies, procedures and regulatory requirements are consistently followedMaintain accurate records and ensure the nursery is fully prepared for Ofsted inspections and other regulatory visitsBuild positive and professional relationships with parents and carersRespond effectively to parent enquiries, feedback and concernsSupport the recruitment, induction and ongoing development of nursery staffMonitor occupancy, enquiries and registrations and support initiatives to grow the nurseryWork closely with the Directors on staffing, budgets, nursery performance and continuous improvementPromote a positive, professional and supportive culture throughout the nurseryRequirementsThe successful candidate should have:Required to work during the hours of 7.30am & 6.30pmA recognised Level 3 or above qualification in Early Years/ChildcareSignificant experience working within an early years settingProven experience working as a Nursery Manager, with strong leadership and management skillsStrong knowledge and practical understanding of the EYFSExcellent knowledge of safeguarding procedures and responsibilitiesA good understanding of Ofsted requirements and the standards expected within an early years settingStrong leadership and people-management skillsExperience of supervising, supporting and developing staffExcellent communication and organisational skillsThe ability to build positive relationships with parents, children and colleaguesConfidence in managing challenging situations professionally and calmlyA strong commitment to delivering high-quality childcare and continuous improvementThe ability to manage both the childcare and commercial/operational aspects of a busy nurseryA satisfactory enhanced DBS check and completion of all required safer recruitment checksPrevious experience of successfully leading an Ofsted inspection would be highly advantageous.BenefitsCompetitive salary of £47,000-£50,000 per annumFull-time, permanent positionOpportunity to lead and develop a growing nurserySupport from experienced Directors and the wider Banana Moon franchise networkOngoing professional development and training opportunitiesOpportunities for career progression as the nursery group continues to growSupportive management environment with the opportunity to make a genuine impact on the development of the nurseryEmployee childcare benefits/discounts, subject to company policyStaff recognition and team development opportunitiesWe are looking for someone who can combine excellent early years practice with confident leadership and who will take genuine ownership of the nursery, its team and the experience we provide to our children and families.
