With dedicated staff, well-designed facilities, and a passion for early years education, Belmont Farm Nursery School aims to offer each child a unique and enriching start in life.Role Description The Nursery Practitioner is a full-time, on-site role based in Mill Hill, responsible for delivering high-quality, child-centered care and education. Day-to-day activities include planning and implementing age-appropriate, child-led learning experiences, supporting children’s social, emotional, and cognitive development, and ensuring a safe, nurturing environment both indoors and outdoors. The role involves observing and documenting children’s progress, communicating clearly with families about their child’s development, and working collaboratively with colleagues to maintain high standards of practice. The Nursery Practitioner will also contribute to maintaining nursery routines, supporting mealtimes and personal care, and promoting the nursery’s holistic ethos and values.Qualifications Relevant early years qualification (e.g., Level 2 or Level 3 in Childcare/Early Years Education) and up-to-date knowledge of early years frameworks.Experience in child-led learning, planning engaging activities, and supporting holistic development in an early years setting.Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.Understanding of safeguarding, health and safety, and best practices for creating a nurturing, inclusive environment.Ability to work confidently in an outdoor learning environment and promote independence, curiosity, and life skills.Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children’s growth and wellbeing; pediatric first aid training is an advantage.Right to work in the UK and willingness to undergo necessary background and reference checks.
