Nursing Manager

Position: Nurse Manager

Location: Manassas, VAResponsibilities Assume 24-hour responsibility and accountability for resident care.Respond to emergency calls as needed and notify the Director of Nursing and Administrator when appropriate.Attend daily stand-up meetings and report on resident status and other relevant matters.Review 24-hour reports with nurses and supervisors as needed.Oversee and coordinate daily staff assignments.Participate in the interviewing and hiring process for new employees.Ensure quality care and support for residents while following applicable policies and regulations.Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.Required QualificationsCurrent, unencumbered RN license in the Commonwealth of Virginia.Current CPR certification.Minimum 3 years of experience in a long-term care facility.At least 1 year of supervisory experience preferred.Extensive experience working with residents with dementia.Knowledge of the physical and emotional needs of the elderly population.Proficiency with Microsoft Office, email, and general computer systems.Ability to safely perform all essential job functions, with or without reasonable accommodation.Compensation & BenefitsCompensation commensurate with experience.Weekend shift differential for hourly employees.Medical, dental, and vision insurance.Long-term disability and life insurance.Legal plan and pet insurance.23 days of paid time off, with the ability to accrue up to 500 hours.Retirement benefits through the Virginia Retirement System (VRS).Tuition reimbursement.Employee Assistance Program (EAP).LifeMart employee discounts.Cafeteria discounts.
