Alhayat continues to expand and develop its services, aiming to offer the best possible standards of care to the community.Role Description The Obstetrics and Gynecology Resident is a full-time, on-site role based in Riyadh, responsible for providing supervised clinical care to patients in outpatient clinics, inpatient wards, and labor and delivery units. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting patient histories and physical examinations, assisting with normal and high-risk deliveries, participating in gynecologic surgeries and procedures, and managing obstetric and gynecologic emergencies under the guidance of senior physicians. The resident will interpret diagnostic tests, contribute to treatment plans, and ensure accurate documentation in patient records. Additional duties include participating in ward rounds, multidisciplinary case discussions, and patient education on reproductive health, as well as engaging in academic activities such as teaching junior trainees and attending conferences, seminars, and ongoing training sessions.Qualifications Completed medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) from a recognized institution and eligibility for residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology according to local regulatory requirements.Foundational clinical skills in patient assessment, history taking, physical examination, and differential diagnosis, with a focus on women’s health.Ability to perform and assist with obstetric and gynecologic procedures, including labor management, cesarean sections, and minor gynecologic interventions under supervision.Strong knowledge of evidence-based obstetrics and gynecology, including prenatal care, maternal-fetal medicine basics, contraception, gynecologic disorders, and preventive health.Effective communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams, including providing compassionate counseling and education.Demonstrated ability to work in a high-pressure clinical environment, prioritize tasks, and respond appropriately to emergencies.Commitment to ethical practice, patient confidentiality, and adherence to local healthcare regulations and hospital policies.Interest in continuous learning, research participation, and quality improvement initiatives within the department.Proficiency in spoken and written English; proficiency in Arabic is highly beneficial for patient communication.Willingness to work shifts
