Apply & track with Apply EdgeWe are looking for DHA licensed Pediatric Occupational Therapist for Starwalkers.Please read the description before applying!Role DescriptionThis is a full-time, on-site role for an Occupational Therapy based in Dubai. The primary responsibilities include assessing, diagnosing, and supporting sensory, motor, and ADL skills in children. Additionally, the role involves creating individualized therapy plans, collaborating with parents and caregivers to provide trainings, and applying ND Affirming approaches. The OT will contribute to a supportive, neurodiversity-affirming environment, ensuring each client's strengths and needs are prioritized. Please read the details before applying!Job Description:• Neurodiversity-Affirming Therapist: Must be familiar with―and practice from―the Neurodiversity paradigm, OR be ready to learn about the same• Sensory Based Assessments: Provide sensory based assessments, and work with individuals, families, and professionals involved with the client to utilize sensory strategies to aid in maximizing performance and executive functioning• Strength Based Approach: Use strength based approach and focus on sensory regulation rather than compliance / sitting tolerance• Co-therapy: Work closely with a Speech Language Pathologist as a part of the co-therapy plan• Documentation: Document all the details and generate official reports of the client in the format provided to you by Starwalkers• Meetings: Participate in Individualized Care Plan meetings, review existing data, and form team meetings• Online Resources & Programs: Be a part of online resource development and webinars conducted by Starwalkers to coach parents about Sensory Integration Therapy ApproachQualifications:• Bachelor's / Master's Degree from an accredited college or university in occupation therapy• Must have a DHA license • Strong communication skillsDesired Skills:• ND Affirming & Sensory Integration certified• Already uses strength based approach• Ready to learn and motivated to work with kidsOur values lie within our supportive team, good vibes, professional development, and our Neurodiversity-Affirming approach
