Ocean Import CoordinatorLocation: Jamaica, Queens, NYSalary: $60,000 - $70,000 (depending on experience)Our client, a growing international freight forwarder based in Jamaica, NY is looking for an experienced Ocean Import Coordinator to manage the full A-Z ocean import process.ResponsibilitiesManage the complete ocean import lifecycle from booking and pre-alert through final delivery.Coordinate with overseas agents, carriers, truckers, warehouses, customs brokers, and customers.Track and monitor shipments, ensuring timely updates and issue resolution.Prepare and process import documentation including Bills of Lading, Arrival Notices, Customs documentation, and Delivery Orders.Ensure accurate shipment costing, invoicing, file management, and margin control.Handle FCL and LCL shipments while maintaining service levels and compliance standards.Resolve shipment delays, discrepancies, and customer inquiries in a professional and timely manner.Requirements2+ years of Ocean Import experience within a Freight Forwarding environment.Proven ability to handle the full A-Z import process independently.Strong understanding of ocean freight documentation and import procedures.Experience communicating with carriers, agents, customs brokers, and customers.Excellent organizational, communication, and customer service skills.Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced logistics environment.PreferredCargoWise One experience is a strong plus.Experience handling both FCL and LCL shipments.Knowledge of US import procedures and Customs requirements.Compensation & Benefits$60,000 - $70,000 base salary (dependent on experience).Career growth opportunity with a well-established freight forwarding company.Collaborative and supportive team environment.If you have Ocean Import Freight Forwarding experience and are comfortable managing shipments from A-Z, we'd love to hear from you.
