Ocean Import Coordinator

Our client is a well-established logistics and supply chain organization seeking an experienced Ocean Import Coordinator to support its Los Angeles operation. This individual will play a key role in coordinating international ocean imports, working closely with customers, carriers, customs brokers, and internal departments to ensure shipments move efficiently from origin through delivery.Key ResponsibilitiesCoordinate daily ocean import shipments from arrival through final delivery.Communicate with steamship lines, customs brokers, customers, and internal operations teams.Review bills of lading, arrival notices, entry documentation, and other import paperwork.Track shipments and proactively communicate delays, changes, and important milestones.Troubleshoot operational issues and coordinate resolutions with the appropriate parties.Ensure shipment information and documentation remain accurate and up to date.Qualifications2+ years of experience handling ocean import operations.Working knowledge of U.S. ocean import procedures and documentation.Experience working with carriers, customs brokers, and other logistics providers.CargoWise experience is strongly preferred.Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple shipments simultaneously.Excellent communication and customer service skills.Compensation & BenefitsCompetitive base salary.Comprehensive healthcare benefits.Career advancement and professional development opportunities.This is an excellent opportunity for an ocean import professional looking to join a stable organization and continue developing their career within international logistics.
