Role purposeThe Office Coordinator is central to the smooth running of the office, keeping enquiries, records, tenders, training, fleet and accounts administration coordinated accurately and on time. It suits someone who enjoys taking ownership of practical tasks and improving systems, and who will quickly become a trusted point of contact for clients, consultants and the wider team. The role has real breadth from day one and scope to grow into office management, compliance or estimating support as the business grows. What you'll be doing· Acting as the first point of contact for incoming calls and the enquiries inbox, directing everything to the right person.· Keeping the office running day to day - equipment servicing, stationery, first aid supplies and supplier liaison.· Coordinating site staff training, the company vehicle fleet and company-owned plant and equipment.· Supporting the pre-construction process: issuing and following up tender enquiries, collating tender packs and keeping supplier rates current.· Assisting with accounts administration - timesheets, expenses, purchasing and company insurances.· Coordinating marketing activity, from site photography and case studies to website updates and social media. Essential Requirements· Previous experience in an administrative, office support or business coordination role.· Strong written and verbal communication skills, including a professional and confident telephone manner.· Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook, Word and Excel.· Excellent organisational, time-management and record-keeping skills.· A high level of accuracy and attention to detail.· The ability to prioritise tasks and work independently.· Sound judgement and discretion when handling sensitive information. Desirable Requirements· Experience within construction, property or professional services, ideally with a residential refurbishment, conservation or heritage contractor.· Experience supporting estimating, accounts administration, purchasing or marketing activities.· Familiarity with estimating or accounts software – for example Causeway, Sage or Xero.· A full UK driving licence.· Confidence with social media and website content tools. No formal construction qualification is required. Training will be provided on Hill & Weatherall’s systems, processes and working practices. Salary and hoursCompetitive salary, dependent on experience.Full-time, Monday to Friday, based at our Abingdon office.
