An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Office Manager to join a growing, director-led architecture practice based in Trafford Park, Manchester.The practice works across a range of sectors, with particular expertise in healthcare and public-sector projects, and has a strong focus on design quality, technical delivery and client relationships. The team is currently around 10 people and this is a key role in helping to support the continued growth and smooth running of the studio.This would suit someone who enjoys being the person who keeps an office organised, is comfortable working closely with senior people and is happy to take ownership of a broad range of administrative and operational responsibilities.Key ResponsibilitiesSupporting the day-to-day running and organisation of the Manchester studioManaging meeting rooms, office facilities and general office administrationActing as a first point of contact, answering calls and welcoming visitorsCoordinating meetings, appointments and office requirementsSupporting HR administration and maintaining relevant recordsOrganising CPD sessions and internal studio activitiesAssisting with invoicing and basic finance administration, working alongside external accountantsSupporting document control and maintaining accurate practice informationProviding general project and administrative support to the wider teamHelping to maintain and develop effective office processes as the practice growsSupporting the practice's ISO systems and proceduresSkills and ExperiencePrevious experience as an Office Manager, Office Coordinator, Practice Coordinator or similar roleHighly organised with excellent attention to detailConfident communicator who enjoys working with people at all levelsComfortable managing multiple priorities and taking ownership of tasksStrong IT skills, particularly Microsoft OfficeExperience within an architecture, design, engineering, construction or professional services environment would be advantageousKnowledge of ISO processes/accreditation would be beneficialAn understanding of project administration or document control would be usefulProfessional, personable and proactive, with a hands-on approachComfortable working in a small, collaborative team where the role is varied
