Apply & track with Apply EdgeOffice ManagerFairfield, NJ Area | Established Manufacturing CompanyPosition OverviewAn established manufacturing company near Fairfield, NJ is seeking an experienced Office Manager to oversee the day-to-day administrative and business operations of the office. This is a hands-on role supporting management while coordinating accounting administration, AP/AR, payroll, customer service, light HR responsibilities, and general office operations.The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, professional, and comfortable working across multiple functions in a manufacturing environment. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics or another ERP system is important, along with strong Microsoft Office skills. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee daily office operations and ensure smooth, efficient workflow across administrative functions.Provide administrative support to company management and serve as a central point of coordination for the office.Provide oversight and coordination of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable activities, including invoicing, payments, collections, and account follow-up.Coordinate payroll processing and maintain accurate employee and payroll-related records.Support basic Human Resources functions, including employee records, onboarding, benefits administration, policies, and coordination with outside providers.Serve as a point of contact for customers, vendors, employees, and visitors, providing professional and responsive customer service.Work within Microsoft Dynamics and/or other ERP systems to maintain information, review transactions, and support administrative and accounting processes.Assist with purchasing, vendor coordination, office supplies, and general facility/office administration.Manage calendars, meetings, appointments, and occasional company events or internal functions.Coordinate communications and administrative activities between Sales, Accounting, Operations, and Management.Maintain organized files, records, reports, and documentation.Identify opportunities to improve administrative processes and help keep the office running efficiently.Handle other administrative and operational responsibilities as needed.Qualifications5+ years of experience in office management, administrative management, or business operations.Experience in a manufacturing, distribution, construction, or similar business environment preferred.Working knowledge of AP/AR and general accounting processes.Experience coordinating payroll and basic HR functions.Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics, ERP systems, or similar business software.Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and Outlook.Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Professional, dependable, and comfortable interacting with employees, customers, vendors, and senior management.Ability to work independently while also functioning as a key member of the management team.Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.Ideal CandidateThe ideal candidate is someone who enjoys being the “go-to” person in the office—someone who can keep administrative operations organized, follow up on accounting and customer-service matters, coordinate with management, and step in wherever needed to keep the business running smoothly.
