Officer Warehouse & Distribution

Purpose of the role:The purpose of the role is to plan, coordinate, and manage the receipt, storage, inventory control, and timely dispatch of goods to ensure efficient warehouse operations. The role also includes maintaining accurate inventory records, optimizing storage space, and ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and company standards while supporting uninterrupted business operations and customer satisfaction.Responsibilities:To monitor and maintain inventory levels within company-prescribed norms to optimize working capital while ensuring the desired customer service level.To manage and oversee the safe, efficient receipt, storage, handling, and dispatch of goods in compliance with company standards and operational requirements.To manage the warehouse and distribution team, ensuring the timely delivery of products to depots and customers in the right quantity, in good condition, and with maximum operational efficiency.To ensure compliance with health, safety, security, and environmental standards in line with distribution operations and applicable regulations.To maintain physical inventory accuracy by ensuring alignment between physical stock and SAP inventory records.To monitor and control distribution costs, maintaining cost per kilogram within approved targets while identifying and implementing continuous cost optimization initiatives (LSS, 6S, OPL & Kaizen).To assist in preparing the annual warehouse and distribution operating expense budget, and monitor actual expenditures to ensure they remain within approved limits.To motivate, organize, and coordinate the workforce to achieve or exceed productivity, quality, and operational performance targets.To develop team capabilities through structured training and coaching on warehouse and distribution operations to ensure compliance with company standards and best practices.To promote the company's vision, values, policies, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), ensuring consistent understanding and compliance across the team.To coach, mentor, engage, and motivate team members to build a high-performing workforce and sustain productivity, accountability, and continuous improvement.To ensure regular inspection, preventive maintenance, and operational readiness of warehouse machinery and material handling equipment.To coordinate with R&D and Production teams to manage product reprocessing activities in accordance with approved liquidation and recovery plans.Requirements:Bachelor’s Degree from a well-recognized university.At least 3 years of relevant experience in warehouse and inventory managementProficiency in logistics and relevant software such as WMS or ERPKnowledge of standard operational procedures, safety protocols (OSHA), and quality standards within a distribution environmentProfessional Degree or Post-Graduation degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management will be an advantage.Deadline: 8 August 2026Location: Dhaka, Bangladesh
