In this role, interpreters will facilitate spoken communication between clients, service providers, and limited English proficiency individuals in settings such as healthcare facilities, government offices, schools, legal environments, and community services. Daily responsibilities include accurately conveying messages in both source and target languages, maintaining confidentiality and professionalism, and adhering to ethical and industry standards. Interpreters will prepare for assignments by reviewing terminology and context, support clear communication through culturally appropriate language use, and document basic session details as required. The role may involve coordinating with LanguagePath Solutions’ scheduling and vendor management teams and participating in periodic training and quality assurance activities.QualificationsStrong bilingual or multilingual skills in English and at least one additional language commonly needed in Michigan, with excellent spoken fluency and comprehension.Understanding of interpreter ethics, confidentiality requirements, and cultural competency in diverse community settings.Effective interpersonal, communication, and active listening skills, with the ability to remain neutral and professional under pressure.Ability to work on-site across different locations in Michigan, maintain punctuality, and reliably follow scheduling and reporting procedures.
