Onboarding Specialist

Key ResponsibilitiesManage the end-to-end digital customer onboarding journey, from application submission to account openingUtilize experience in client onboarding and relationship management to manage new-to-bank client onboarding processesReview and verify customer documents (Emirates ID, passport, visa, proof of address, income documents) for accuracy and completenessEnsure compliance with KYC, AML, CDD and UAE Central Bank regulations, as well as Sharia governance requirementsProcess and resolve customer requests and queries promptly through digital channelsCoordinate with Compliance, Credit, Operations, Product and Customer Service teams to resolve onboarding issuesMonitor application queues and turnaround times to meet service level agreementsIdentify errors, discrepancies and bottlenecks in the digital journey, and recommend process improvementsSupport digital platform testing and escalate system issuesMaintain accurate records and audit-ready documentationProvide a smooth, professional experience to customers throughout onboardingRequirementsBachelor’s degree in Banking, Finance, Business Administration or a related field3 - 4 years of experience in banking operations, customer onboarding, account opening or a similar role (Islamic banking experience preferred)Proven experience in client onboarding and relationship management, including handling new-to-bank clientsExcellent knowledge of banking products and services, including Islamic banking products and Sharia-compliant principlesGood understanding of KYC, AML and regulatory compliance requirements in the UAEStrong attention to detail and accuracy in document reviewAbility to work in a high-paced environment and meet deadlinesStrong communication skills in English; Arabic is an advantageProficiency in MS Office and banking or onboarding systemsStrong customer service, problem-solving and coordination skillsKey Skills
