Online HSC English Tutor (Top 1% HSC Graduates: ATAR 99+ or State Rankers)

About the job:Concept Education is NSW’s premier online tutoring company, specialising in maths and English. Lessons are only delivered by Top 1% graduates of the HSC.About Us:Concept Education started in Sydney and is growing across the rest of NSW. We attract two main kinds of students:Most of our students are very strong academically but need extra support to reach the very highest levels of performance.A smaller number of our students are strong in other areas, but struggle with one subject and need tutoring to begin from a more fundamental level.We are known for supporting very strong students to excel. Our students have achieved state rankings in multiple years. In 2026, students entered their university course of choice specifically due to the results of our tutoring in one subject.The Role:You’ll run engaging, 1:1 online tutoring lessons (and occasionally, small groups) for Years 7 to 12, with a focus on HSC. You’ll build students’ confidence as much as their marks, and be a good role model. As you gain experience, you’ll produce learning material for the company and later, maybe even for other tutors.You have some flexibility in when you offer lessons. You’ll communicate with the management team, parents and students. You’ll attend training and town hall meetings with the team. Most importantly, you will work hard to help students achieve their goals.Essentials:We are looking for exceptional high achievers with great people skills.Please read this carefully. We need Top 1% HSC graduates, e.g. ATAR of 99+, and / or State Ranker in a relevant subject, and / or winner of other prestigious awards. We cannot accept other certificates for this position. Availability on at least two days from Monday to Thursday. Other days are fine too, but you need to have some options outside Friday to Sunday.People and communication skills. We’ll help you with explaining concepts, but you must be comfortable talking to students and being a real, warm person they can speak to.Growth mindset. We’ll provide training and feedback so you can develop along the way.Current Working With Children Check, OR ability and willingness to obtain one.Reliable internet connection and a quiet space to deliver lessons.Nice to haves:Tutoring experience (but even if you’ve never tutored before, feel free to apply).Things to know:You don’t need a degree, yet.
