Gloria Jeans is now headquartered in Dubai, positioning the company for its next phase of international expansion, with brand.com targeted to grow from roughly 1–2% of revenue today toward a 15–20% online penetration ambition.ROLE PURPOSEThe Online Merchandiser owns the day-to-day commercial performance and presentation of the brand.com product range – ensuring the right products are visible, findable, priced, and positioned to convert at every stage of the customer journey, from homepage and category pages through to PDP and cart.This is a hands-on, execution-focused role that translates the wider e-commerce and buying strategy into daily site merchandising decisions, working closely with the VP E-commerce, Buying/Merchandising, CRM, and Digital Product teams to maximize sell-through, conversion, and margin across categories – including the ongoing expansion into Home and Beauty.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES1. Category & Range MerchandisingOwn the online product range plan by category, ensuring depth and breadth align with demand and stock availabilityCurate homepage, landing pages, and category pages to reflect priority ranges, new arrivals, and best-sellersManage product sequencing and ranking rules to balance commercial priority with customer relevancePartner with Buying/Merchandising to align store and online assortments, including exclusives and online-only SKUs2. Search, Navigation & DiscoverabilityOwn search relevance tuning, synonyms, and merchandised search results (working with the site search tool/vendor)Maintain and evolve filter and facet logic to reduce zero-result searches and improve product findabilityMonitor site search and navigation analytics to identify friction points in the Traffic → PDP → Cart funnel3. Pricing, Promotions & Markdown ExecutionExecute the online pricing and promotional calendar in coordination with Growth, Merchandising, and CRMMonitor discount intensity and markdown cadence online to protect margin while driving sell-throughEnsure accurate, timely price and promotion updates across brand.com and connected marketplace channels4. Product Content & PDP QualityOwn PDP content standards: imagery, sizing information, attributes, descriptions, and cross-sell/upsell placementWork with Creative/Content teams to prioritize photography and copy for new launches and key categoriesAudit content completeness and quality ahead of major launches and campaigns5. New Category Launches (Home, Beauty)Support onboarding and merchandising of new categories, including third-party/marketplace SKU integrationDefine category navigation structure, attribute sets, and merchandising rules for new rangesCoordinate with Operations on category-specific requirements (e.g. expiry-sensitive handling for Beauty)6. Performance Analytics & ReportingTrack and report SKU- and category-level performance: sell-through, stock turn, conversion, and marginIdentify underperforming ranges and recommend markdown, re-merchandising, or delisting actionsFeed range and merchandising insights into the wider e-commerce conversion and CRO roadmap7.
