GEEKS is the IT partner for growing businesses across the UAE and the wider Middle East.We work with our clients in three ways:Advise — IT advisory that sets the technology directionImplement — IT project delivery that puts it in placeSupport — managed IT services that keep it running across infrastructure, cloud, security, productivity and AI/automation : the five areas that decide whether technology moves a growing business forward or holds it back.We are a team of 40+, obsessed with client success, value delivery and real outcomes. We are a Microsoft and Cisco partner, and an Acronis Premier Partner. Our clients are established businesses in a growth phase, the point where technology stops being a background cost and starts setting how fast the business can move. Not startups still finding their feet. Not enterprises with their own IT department. That focus is deliberate, and it is the reason we are good at this. Three tests decide every piece of work we take on: does the client win, does the team win, does the business win. Work that fails any one of them is work we turn down.We are hiring an Onsite Engineer to attend client sites across Dubai and the UAE.This is not a desk role and it is not a remote support role. You are sent when the problem could not be solved from a screen. On site, you are GEEKS — you fix it, you scope what needs building, and you leave the client confident. What you will own:Five areas, on every visit.Onsite Service Delivery. Attend dispatched tickets when the issue cannot be resolved remotely. Arrive on time and prepared, diagnose the real problem rather than the reported symptom, and resolve it on the first visit wherever possible. Close the ticket only after the client has confirmed it is fixed.Requirement Scoping & Solution Design. Attend scoping visits, capture the site's actual current state, and understand the real requirement by asking the right questions. Design the right solution for that site, and prepare an accurate, complete BOQ.Project Implementation & Handover. Execute installation and project work to GEEKS standards and within agreed timelines. Keep the client and the internal team informed of progress and blockers. Test it, hand it over cleanly, and confirm with the client before it is called done.Client Experience & GEEKS Representation. Arrive presentable and announce yourself properly. Explain the problem and the fix in plain language, and stay patient with client staff. Be straight when something will take longer, and agree a clear next step.Ticket, Time & Documentation Discipline. Work from the ticket and keep it current. Write notes another engineer could act on without calling you. Enter accurate time against the right ticket, on the same day. What You need to Know:You will be the only GEEKS person in the building. The range matters more than depth in any one area.Hands-on today:Servers and endpoints — Windows Server with AD, DNS, DHCP and Group Policy; Hyper-V or VMware; RAID and NAS; Windows 10/11 imaging and deployment.Networking — managed switches with VLANs and trunking; firewall rules and site-to-site VPN; controller-based Wi-Fi and access point placement.Cabling and racks — Cat6/6A termination, patch panels, rack build, labelling and cable testing.Backup and recovery — Veeam or Acronis: configure the jobs, and verify the restores.Physical security — IP cameras, NVR setup and storage sizing; access control readers and door hardware.Audio visual — meeting room displays, video conferencing and room audio, including Teams Rooms.Microsoft 365 — Exchange Online, Entra ID, Teams and SharePoint administration. How you work on siteWork from the ticket, and write notes another engineer can use without calling you.Enter your time the same day, against the right ticketClose only after the client confirms it is fixedAsk for help early rather than struggling aloneUpdate the site and asset records before you leaveNever commit to dates, scope or price on the spot — route it to the right personLeave the site safe and tidy: packaging cleared, rack dressed, nothing left exposedThis is for you If:You find out why it broke. You do not just make it work for today. If you say 10am, you are there at 10am.You say what really happened, what you did, and how long it took. You stay calm when the client is upset and the fix is not working. You explain again, calmly, even when you are asked the same question three times. You ask for help early. You do not struggle alone for hours. You finish the job fully — cables tidy, notes written, site left as you found it.You know that at a client's office, you are GEEKS to them. This is Not for you If:You swap parts until something works, then move onYou close tickets before the client has confirmed the issue is resolvedYou go quiet when a job is running lateYou would rather struggle alone for four hours than call a senior engineerYou treat tickets, notes and time entry as someone else's problemYou are looking for a desk jobNon-NegotiablesIn Dubai now, on a visit visa, able to join immediatelyHands-on onsite IT support experience — MSP or IT services background strongly preferredFluent, professional written and spoken English
