To be considered, you'll need:NBSTSA certification (National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting). If you were hired into the position on or after January 1, 2016, you must become certified within six months of your hire date.Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technologist (ST) or Operating Room Technician (ORT) programAssociate degree in Surgical TechnologyCurrent BLS and/or CPR certification through the American Red Cross or American Heart Association, or able to get certified within 6 weeks of hireAble to read, write, speak, hear, and understand EnglishWilling to take part in a rotating on-call scheduleLiving within 30 minutes of the hospitalThe PositionThis is an operating room role on the surgical team, working directly with the surgeon and registered nurse during invasive procedures. Day to day, you're responsible for the condition of the room and the equipment in it: confirming everything functions as it should, holding the sterile field, and keeping the environment set up so the procedure stays safe and moves efficiently.The work rests on sterile and aseptic technique, applied with a working knowledge of human anatomy, surgical procedures, and the instrumentation and technology used in the OR, all in service of supporting the physician through invasive therapeutic procedures.Day to DayPerform the technical and physical duties of an Operating Room Surgical TechnologistCommunicate clearly and stay adaptable when situations get emotionally chargedClean and restock operating rooms and sterile core areasScheduleIncludes participation in a rotating on-call schedule.BenefitsMedical, dental, and vision coverage403(b) with company matchCompetitive paid time offTuition reimbursementEmployee discount program
