(Jobstreet Malaysia)🎯 Key Responsibilities• Provide strategic leadership and overall direction for the organization’s operations.• Translate company strategy and business objectives into practical operational plans and measurable targets.• Oversee day-to-day business operations and ensure efficient execution across departments and business units.• Establish operational KPIs, performance standards, service levels, and accountability frameworks.• Monitor operational performance and identify opportunities to improve productivity, efficiency, quality, and profitability.• Lead continuous improvement and operational excellence initiatives across the organization.• Develop and implement standardized processes, policies, procedures, and operating models.• Identify operational bottlenecks, risks, inefficiencies, and process gaps and implement corrective actions.• Manage operational budgets, resources, expenses, and cost-control initiatives.• Drive cost efficiency while improving operational efficiency, productivity, service quality, and profitability.• Strong experience developing and managing KPIs, SLAs, budgets, operational dashboards, and performance-management frameworks.• Strong financial and commercial acumen with experience in cost control, budgeting, forecasting, and resource optimization.• Excellent leadership skills with proven experience managing, coaching, and developing senior and operational teams.• Strong stakeholder-management, negotiation, communication, and influencing abilities.• Ability to work effectively with senior executives, department heads, customers, vendors, and external partners.• Strong analytical, strategic-thinking, and problem-solving skills.• Experience leading business transformation, process improvement, digitalization, automation, or operational excellence initiatives.• Strong knowledge of risk management, compliance, governance, and business continuity.• Ability to make commercially sound decisions in a fast-paced and changing business environment.• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, ERP systems, CRM platforms, BI dashboards, and operational reporting tools.• Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, Agile, or other continuous-improvement methodologies is an advantage.• Industry experience in manufacturing, construction, logistics, healthcare, technology, retail, hospitality, or professional services is advantageous depending on the organization.• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Engineering, Finance, Management, Supply Chain, or a related discipline is preferred.• MBA or other postgraduate business qualification is an advantage.• Professional certifications in Operations Management, Project Management, Lean Six Sigma, Supply Chain, or Business Management are an advantage.• Typically 10+ years of relevant professional experience, including significant leadership responsibility, is preferred for senior Operations Director positions.
