Operational Specialist

Operations Specialist | DubaiA commodities trading company is looking for an Operations Specialist to manage the end-to-end execution of physical trades, from contract confirmation through to final delivery.

Responsibilities

Coordinate shipments, vessels, suppliers, customers, freight forwarders and agents.Manage trade and shipping documentation, including Bills of Lading, certificates and invoices.Monitor cargo movements, loading/discharge operations and delivery schedules.Track laytime, demurrage exposure and support claims.Liaise with traders, finance and other internal teams to ensure smooth trade execution.Maintain shipment trackers, costs and operational records.

Requirements

2–5 years’ experience in commodity trading operations.Strong knowledge of international shipping, Incoterms and trade documentation.Experience with fertilisers, chemicals or other physical commodities preferred.Good Excel skills and exposure to ERP/CTRM systems.
