Preference will be given to those who tell us why they want to the job and how they are a good fit for the skills required.Position SummaryCastelli is seeking an experienced and highly organized Operations and Logistics Manager to manage inventory and custom factory materials and communications. This role will be responsible for management of all order placement and execution from our Italian HQ and commercial suppliers (purchase order generation, logistics, receipt, and allocations), as well as material management and production adherence at our two custom factories.Working closely with internal B2B and DTC teams, this role ensures orders are created, validated, fulfilled, shipped accurately and on time, received, and allocated. Position will actively manage inventory, confirm inventory availability, coordinate fulfillment readiness, and drive continuous improvement to meet seasonal business demands.Additionally, position will proactively manage custom factory communications, including material management, timelines, and production adherence at our 2 custom factories.Key ResponsibilitiesInventory ManagementOwn order lifecycle of inline inventory through Business Central, from generation of purchase orders through receipt and allocation to appropriate business channels.Coordinate weekly execution with our HQ in Italy to ensure inventory, timing, identify best shipping methods, and track inventory during shipment.· Monitor inventory availability and allocation logic; manage backorders/partial shipments according to policy and customer and business channel commitments.· Proactively track exceptions (e.g., short picks, inventory mismatches, address/label issues, payment/shipping holds) and drive fast resolution.· Ensure shipping documentation readiness and confirm shipment status updates in Business Central and supporting systems.Custom Factory Materials & Production ManagementManage communication with custom factories, actively manage production planning, and factory adherence to production plan. Includes monitoring promised lead times and ensuring accurate production and delivery dates.Work w/Custom and Development teams to ensure material inventory against forecasts and provide weekly updates regarding material levels and unit capacity.Weekly monitor material stock levels (current inventory + use rate vs. forecast).Proactively manage safety stock to avoid shortages or excess.Manage material logistics and coordinate planned style changes with Custom Manager.Work with factory and Development to ensure all incoming materials meet the required standards for production; Communicate with HQ and material supplier when quality standards are not met.Qualifications· 3-5 years of experience in order management / operations / supply chain / fulfillment.· Strong knowledge of order-to-ship workflows and warehouse execution processes.· Proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (or equivalent ERP experience with confidence navigating orders/inventory/shipping flows).· Strong Excel skills, including data cleaning, advance lookups (e.g. VLOOKUP) data aggregation, pivot tables, and statistical forecasting formulas.· Advanced attention to detail and process accuracy (SKU/sizing models).· Excellent communication skills and ability to resolve issues quickly.· Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.· Strong written and verbal communication skills.Preferred· Experience with apparel/consumer goods fulfillment and SKU/sizing complexity.· Experience coordinating fulfillment with an overseas warehouse and calendars.· Continuous improvement mindset (process optimization, SOP refinement, etc.).· Passion for cycling and an understanding of cycling culture.Success Metrics· On-time shipment performance (orders shipped to commitment dates/ETAs).· Order accuracy rate: reducing mis-shipment / incorrect quality / timing issues.· Custom production flow: minimize/eliminate materials-related delays.About Castelli CyclingFor the past 150 years, Castelli has been at the forefront of innovation in cycling apparel.
