Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Reporter role based in Jammu & Kashmir, India. The Reporter will be responsible for identifying newsworthy stories, gathering information from sources, and producing clear, accurate, and engaging news content. Daily tasks include conducting interviews, verifying facts, writing reports for print and digital platforms, and collaborating with editors and multimedia teams to develop comprehensive coverage. The role also involves attending events, monitoring local and regional developments, and using multimedia tools to support visual and audio storytelling. The Reporter is expected to meet deadlines, follow editorial guidelines, and uphold ethical standards in all reporting activities.QualificationsCandidates should possess strong Reporting and News Writing skills to research, investigate, and produce accurate, engaging stories.Candidates should possess excellent Communication and Writing abilities to convey complex information clearly across different formats.Candidates should possess basic to advanced Multimedia skills to work with photos, video, and audio for digital storytelling.Candidates should demonstrate strong interviewing, fact-checking, and analytical skills to ensure credibility and balance in coverage.Relevant academic background such as a degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, Media Studies, or a related field is preferred.Prior experience in news reporting, especially in regional or national media, will be an advantage.Familiarity with digital publishing tools, social media platforms, and newsroom workflows is beneficial.Ability to work on-site in Jammu & Kashmir, manage field assignments, and adapt to fast-paced news environments is required.
