Operations Excellence Transformation Lead (12-Week Contract)

We are supporting a leading Life Sciences organisation undergoing a critical operational excellence and transformation programme. The business is seeking a hands-on transformation professional who can identify operational inefficiencies, drive improvement initiatives, and deliver measurable outcomes across manufacturing and supply chain operations.This role will suit someone with a consulting mindset who is equally comfortable engaging senior stakeholders and spending time on the shop floor understanding operational realities.Key ResponsibilitiesAssess current manufacturing, operational, and supply chain performance.Identify productivity, efficiency, quality, and cost optimisation opportunities.Conduct process diagnostics and root cause analysis.Lead operational excellence and continuous improvement initiatives.Develop and implement practical recommendations to improve operational performance.Work closely with site leadership and functional teams to drive change adoption.Establish performance metrics, KPIs, and governance mechanisms.Support implementation of Lean, Six Sigma, and best-practice operational methodologies.Present findings and recommendations to senior management.RequirementsBachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.7+ years of experience within consulting, operational excellence, supply chain, manufacturing, or transformation environments.Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, Operational Excellence, or Performance Improvement methodologies.Experience delivering transformation programmes within manufacturing, industrial, engineering, life sciences, pharmaceutical, or related sectors.Strong analytical, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.Comfortable operating in a fast-paced project environment with immediate impact expectations.Preferred BackgroundsManagement Consulting firms with Operations, Manufacturing, or Supply Chain practices.Internal Transformation or Operational Excellence teams.Manufacturing Excellence, Continuous Improvement, Lean, or Supply Chain Transformation functions.Industrial, Engineering, Life Sciences, Pharmaceutical, Logistics, or Process Manufacturing organisations.What's on OfferHigh-visibility transformation programme.Opportunity to work directly with senior leadership.Immediate project impact and delivery responsibility.Competitive contract package.Potential for extension based on project requirements.If you are interested, or know someone within your network who could be a strong fit, please get in touch directly for a confidential discussion.
