A Brief Summary of This Position: This role is responsible for overseeing the financial performance of manufacturing operations, ensuring accurate cost accounting, supporting operational decision-making, and driving cost optimization. The Finance Analyst partners with plant leadership and operations teams to provide financial oversight of manufacturing activities. The role is responsible for product costing, inventory accounting, budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and internal controls. The Manufacturing Controller ensures the accuracy of financial reporting related to production while identifying opportunities to improve profitability, productivity, and operational efficiency. This position reports to the Regional Finance Director.Essential Functions: Assist in completion and improvement of budget and forecast templates tied to operational KPIs.Manage standard costing, product costing, and cost accounting processes.Partner with production, supply chain, engineering, and procurement teams to identify cost-saving opportunities. Build standardized dashboards to track sourcing cost savings and material trendsManage standard costing, product costing, and cost accounting Analyze manufacturing variances (material, labor, overhead, yield, scrap, and production volume).Manage existing while improving standardized capital project ROI modeling and payback analysis.Oversee make‑vs‑buy financial modelling.Provide inventory analytics and support reduction strategies.Monitor inventory valuation and ensure accurate inventory accounting and reconciliations.Coordinate physical inventory counts and cycle count programs.Analyze lead times, ERP planning data, and production scheduling.Prepare reports on space and capacity utilization and fixed cost leverage.Track overhead trends and benchmarks.Contribute ideas and tools to automate finance processesFinancial Planning & Reporting: Build automated dashboards (Power BI, OneStream), support monthly close, translate datasets into insights.Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and internal controls.Support internal and external audits.Required Qualifications of Every Candidate (Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities):Bachelor's degree preferred (Finance, Accounting, FinTech, Economics)2+ years in a manufacturing/operations finance role.Strong experience with standard cost accounting for an industrial multi-site manufacturing business.Excellent communication skills. Strong budgeting skills.Ability to navigate ambiguous circumstances.Strong ownership and autonomy. Advanced Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI.Technical curiosity and analytics experience.Advanced financial modeling.Understanding of macroeconomic factors: how foreign currency and commodities (steel, zinc, etc) impact performance. Be able to incorporate into models.Creative, strategic thinker.Strong judgment and decision‑making.Team mentality.Ability to influence across the organization.Strong organizational and project management skills.Highly Qualified Candidates Will Also Possess These Qualifications:MBA or advanced analytics degree.CPA or equivalent.Experience with machine learning or AI analysis.Proficiency in OneStream and QADAdvanced Power BI or Power Platform skills.Experience in global, matrixed organizations.Background in manufacturing, infrastructure, or supply chain industries.
