Job Specification: Operations Integration & Validation (I&V) EngineerSummaryWe are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Operations Integration & Validation (I&V) Engineer to join our team. This role is critical for ensuring the seamless integration, stability, and quality of our live systems post-deployment. Operating in a parallel alignment model to the core Engineering V&V team, the successful candidate will focus on agile, on-demand live site validation, multi-subsystem integration, and issue resolution to maintain a high-quality user experience. Key ResponsibilitiesSystem Integration & Commissioning: Verify that diverse hardware and software components (Radar, AIS, Cameras) are communicating correctly within the live environment. Ensure data integrity across the end-to-end system architecture.Post-Deployment Validation: Perform comprehensive validation of systems and features immediately following a release rollout and commissioning completion by the Rollout (RO) team.Dry Run & Integration Support: Provide on-site and remote support for Engineering and QA dry runs. Ensure all integration pre-work is completed and initial cross-platform verification is successful.On-Demand Snagging & Interface Resolution: Act as a dedicated resource for on-demand snagging, providing rapid support to resolve interface errors and system bugs prior to a customer’s Site Acceptance Testing (SAT).Agile Problem-Solving: React swiftly to live site issues, working independently of the broader development cycle to provide rapid verification and "hotfix" validation.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with the Engineering V&V team and operational stakeholders while maintaining a distinct scope of work as outlined in the team charter.Technical Documentation: Accurately document, validation activities, findings, and resolutions, providing clear reports to stakeholders. Required Skills & QualificationsV&V Expertise: Proven experience in a Validation & Verification, QA, or Systems Integration role.Integration Skillset: Strong technical ability to troubleshoot complex interfaces, API connections, and data flows between disparate subsystems.SDLC/ILC Knowledge: Deep understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Integration Life Cycle, with a focus on post-deployment and "live" environment stability.Analytical Diagnostic Skills: Ability to use network tools and logs to diagnose communication issues between sensors and the central command system.Independent Problem-Solving: Proven ability to think critically and independently, taking initiative to resolve complex integration issues without constant direct supervision.Communication: Outstanding interpersonal skills to bridge the gap between high-level engineering and field-level operations. Desirable Skills & ExperienceSensor Integration: Experience with surveillance radar systems, Automatic Identification System (AIS), Radio Detection Finding (RDF) and night/day camera technologies.Domain Knowledge: Background in Maritime Domain Awareness (MDA) or related maritime surveillance technologies.Protocol Familiarity: Understanding of data protocols relevant to surveillance (e.g., ASTERIX, NMEA). Working Conditions & RequirementsTravel: This role requires extensive travel across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) to support various live sites and deployments.Flexibility: The nature of post-deployment support necessitates flexibility to work outside of standard business hours, including nights and weekends, to support critical deployments.Note: This role is designed for a "hands-on" engineer who enjoys the challenge of making different technologies work together harmoniously in high-pressure, real-world environments.
