The role oversees technical operations, maintenance strategies, contractor performance, and operational excellence initiatives, ensuring high standards of asset reliability, customer experience, compliance, and cost efficiencyThis position plays a key role in driving operational performance, implementing continuous improvement initiatives, and supporting the organization's sustainability and ESG objectives.Key ResponsibilitiesOperations & Maintenance ManagerDevelop and implement preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programsEnsure the reliability, availability, and optimal performance of all building systems and critical infrastructureMonitor maintenance activities and ensure compliance with established service levels and operational standardsCoordinate technical interventions, refurbishment projects, and capital improvement initiativesOptimize maintenance processes and operational procedures to maximize asset performance.Team LeadershipLead, coach, and develop a multidisciplinary technical teamsEstablish performance objectives and promote a culture of accountability, safety, and operational excellenceFoster collaboration across departments and support talent development initiativesEnsure appropriate workforce planning and resource allocationBudget & Financial Management Prepare and manage annual operating and maintenance budgetsMonitor operational expenditures and identify cost optimisation opportunitiesEvaluate investment proposals and support business cases through cost-benefit analysisEnsure effective procurement and contract management practicesContractor & Supplier Management Manage relationships with external service providers, contractors, and suppliersNegotiate and monitor contracts, ensuring compliance with agreed service levels and KPIsConduct performance reviews and drive continuous improvement initiatives with vendorsSustainability & Energy Management Identify and implement energy efficiency and sustainability initiativesMonitor energy consumption and environmental performance indicatorsSupport the achievement of ESG objectives and sustainability certificationsPromote best practices in environmental management and resource optimizationHealth, Safety & ComplianceEnsure compliance with all applicable health, safety, environmental, and regulatory requirementsLead risk assessments and implement mitigation measuresCoordinate audits, inspections, and corrective action plans.Promote a strong safety culture throughout the organisationQualificationsBachelor's or Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Civil Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field.Additional qualifications in Operations Management, Project Management, or Facilities Management are considered an advantageExperience Minimum of 15years of experience in maintenance and operations managementProven experience leading technical teams and managing external service providers.Experience within commercial real estate, shopping centers, facilities management, hospitality, industrial, or mixed-use assetsDemonstrated success in implementing operational excellence, sustainability, and continuous improvement initiativesDoes this sound good to you?
