We provide a workplace that encourages creativity, fosters professional growth, and empowers people to take ownership of impactful projects. We are proud to be a company where innovation meets opportunity—where passionate professionals come together to solve complex challenges and shape the future of technology. If you are driven by curiosity, inspired by cutting-edge technologies, and eager to contribute to a global tech journey, QPIAI is the place to grow, lead, and make a meaningful impact.About the roleQpiAI designs and fabricates indigenous quantum processors and builds full-stack quantum computers in India. Our Quantum Foundry houses Class 100 and Class 1,000 cleanrooms and an 8-inch line for superconducting QPU fabrication, with further expansion planned. This role has two halves: keeping the running facility stable and predictable, and delivering the capital projects that expand it.Operations responsibilities:Own daily cleanroom operations: environmental monitoring, gowning and contamination-control protocols, access discipline, particle-count and utility parameter trackingManage facility systems with infrastructure vendors — HVAC, ultrapure water, process gases, chilled water, vacuum, power redundancy, vibration and EMI controlDrive tool uptime: preventive maintenance schedules, service contracts, spares inventory, calibration records, downtime root-cause trackingManage procurement and logistics for process chemicals, gases, substrates and consumables, including import documentation, hazardous-material handling and vendor qualificationMaintain EHS compliance: chemical and gas safety, statutory approvals and inspections, incident reporting, emergency drills, team trainingOwn SOPs, logs and checklists, and report capacity, cost and reliability metrics to leadershipProject responsibilities:Plan and deliver fab expansion and upgrade projects end to end — scope, budget, schedule, risk register, and handover to operationsRun capital equipment projects from specification and vendor selection through procurement, site readiness, installation, commissioning and qualificationBuild and maintain integrated project schedules, and manage the critical path across civil, MEP, cleanroom fit-out, tool install and process qualification workstreamsManage contractors and OEM teams on site, including work permits, safety compliance for project activity inside a live fab, and sequencing that protects ongoing productionOwn capex tracking and vendor contracts against approved budgets; flag variances early with options, not just numbersCoordinate long-lead procurement and import logistics for scientific equipment, factoring customs, clearances and installation dependencies into the scheduleRun governance: status reporting to leadership, stakeholder alignment across process, device, facilities and finance teams, and structured post-project reviewsSupport readiness planning for higher qubit-count fabrication capacity as the roadmap progressesRequirements:6–10 years across semiconductor fab / cleanroom operations and capital project deliveryBachelor's degree in engineering (mechanical, chemical, electrical, industrial) or relatedDemonstrated ownership of at least one cleanroom, fab or comparable high-spec facility project through commissioningHands-on knowledge of cleanroom protocols and classification standards (ISO 14644 / FED-STD-209E) and of fab utility systemsStrong scheduling, budgeting and contractor-management skills; fluent with project tracking toolsFamiliarity with EHS regulations for chemical and compressed-gas handlingComfortable in an R&D environment where priorities shift and processes are still being writtenNice to have:Exposure to superconducting device fabrication, cryogenics, or photonicsExperience commissioning a fab from construction through qualificationPMP, PRINCE2, or Lean / Six Sigma certificationExperience with import compliance for scientific equipment and materials
