Operations ManagerLocation: Uxbridge / West Drayton / FULLY OFFICE BASEDSalary: £50,000 – £55,000 DOEJob Type: Permanent, Full-TimeParking: Free on-site parkingWe are recruiting for an experienced and highly organised Operations Manager to join an established business specialising in the supply, manufacture and installation of aluminium doors, windows and glazing solutions.This is a hands-on operational role where you will take responsibility for ensuring projects move smoothly from order through to production and installation. You will oversee a Planner and coordinate the different stages of each project, ensuring materials are available, production is on schedule and installations are planned effectively.Previous double-glazing experience is NOT essential. However, experience within construction, manufacturing, building products, installations or a similar project-led environment would be highly beneficial.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee the day-to-day operational workflow across multiple customer projectsManage and support 1 Planner, ensuring workloads and priorities are effectively managedOversee the planning and scheduling of customer installationsEnsure installation dates are pre-planned and scheduled efficientlyCoordinate with production to ensure orders are manufactured in line with required deadlinesEnsure glass and other required materials are ordered in time for production and installationMonitor orders throughout the process and identify potential delays before they impact customersLiaise with suppliers regarding materials, lead times and deliveriesCoordinate between the planning, production and installation functionsEnsure installers have the correct information and materials available for scheduled jobsManage changing priorities and resolve operational issues quicklyMaintain clear and accurate schedulesImprove processes and efficiencies across the operationEnsure deadlines and customer commitments are consistently achievedProvide operational updates to senior managementTake ownership of problems and ensure they are followed through to resolutionAbout YouPrevious experience within Operations Management, Production Management, Installation Management, Project Management or similarExperience within construction, manufacturing, building products, windows/doors, kitchens, bathrooms, interiors or another installation-led environment would be advantageousNo previous double-glazing experience is requiredStrong planning and scheduling experienceConfident managing multiple projects and deadlines simultaneouslyExperience overseeing or managing a small teamComfortable liaising with suppliers, production teams and installersExcellent organisation and attention to detailStrong problem-solving skills with the ability to react quickly when plans changeConfident using IT systems, spreadsheets and scheduling/planning softwareA proactive, hands-on approach – someone who takes ownership rather than waiting for issues to be escalatedWhat’s on Offer£50,000 – £55,000 salary depending on experiencePermanent, full-time positionFree on-site parkingEstablished and growing businessVaried, hands-on Operations Manager positionOpportunity to take ownership of the operational processSpecialist industry experience is not required – candidates from wider construction, manufacturing and installation backgrounds will be considered
