The facility also performs light converting, primarily slitting master rolls of tape to customer-specified widths.Position SummaryThe company is seeking a hands-on Operations Manager to lead its day-to-day U.S. operations. This individual will oversee warehouse and inventory control, tape converting, purchasing, shipping and logistics, customer service and order fulfillment.A major priority will be selecting and implementing an ERP or comparable business-management system to improve inventory accuracy, workflow efficiency, operational visibility and scalability.This is a working-manager position within a small, growing operation. The successful candidate must be comfortable establishing processes and controls while remaining closely involved in daily execution.Key ResponsibilitiesLead daily operations across receiving, warehousing, inventory control, tape slitting and converting, order fulfillment, purchasing, shipping and logistics.Establish effective workflows, operating procedures, controls and performance expectations.Evaluate, select and implement an ERP or integrated business-management system.Lead process mapping, data preparation and migration, system configuration, testing, employee training and adoption.Improve inventory accuracy through disciplined receiving, location control, cycle counting, reconciliation and material traceability.Plan converting activities and order priorities to meet customer requirements, quality expectations and delivery commitments.Monitor throughput, lead times, on-time shipping, inventory accuracy, order accuracy and material waste.Oversee customer service and order-management processes, ensuring accurate documentation, responsive communication and effective issue resolution.Coordinate purchasing and replenishment with overseas manufacturing partners, considering demand, inventory levels, freight and extended lead times.Manage carrier relationships and domestic and international shipping requirements.Lead, train and develop a small cross-functional team while reinforcing accountability and continuous improvement.Maintain an organized, safe and efficient workplace.Partner with company leadership on operational improvements, resource requirements and growth planning.Required QualificationsAt least five years of progressive operations leadership experience within converting, tape, labels, flexible packaging, paper, film, textiles, cut-to-order manufacturing or a comparable light manufacturing and distribution environment.Hands-on experience managing warehouse operations, inventory control, purchasing, shipping, logistics and order fulfillment.Demonstrated experience personally leading or playing a significant role in an ERP implementation.Experience with process mapping, system configuration, data migration, testing, training and go-live support.Proven success improving operational workflows, inventory accuracy, internal controls and service levels.Experience supervising and developing employees in a small-team environment.Strong proficiency with business systems, reporting tools and Microsoft Excel.Strong communication, organizational and problem-solving skills.Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, operations management, supply chain or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.Preferred QualificationsDirect experience with tape slitting, rewinding or related roll-to-roll converting processes.Experience within pressure-sensitive tapes, coated fabrics, engineered materials or industrial products.Experience with QuickBooks Enterprise or another ERP or integrated business-management platform.Experience working with imported finished goods, international suppliers and extended replenishment lead times.Familiarity with ISO 9001 or comparable quality-management practices.Ideal Leadership ProfileThe ideal candidate is a practical, hands-on leader who is comfortable moving between the warehouse floor, converting operation, customer and supplier matters and business systems.
