Operations Manager

HYDE Hotel & Restaurant, GalwayHYDE Hotel & Restaurant is looking for an experienced, energetic, and commercially minded Operations Manager to join our team in Galway.This is a key leadership role responsible for the smooth and successful day-to-day operation of the hotel and restaurant. Working closely with the General Manager and wider leadership team, you will lead our people, drive operational standards, enhance the guest experience, and ensure the business continues to perform and grow.We’re looking for someone who is passionate about hospitality, enjoys leading from the front, and has the experience and confidence to manage a busy, dynamic operation.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee the day-to-day operations of the hotel and all F&B outlets, ensuring a consistently high standard of service and guest experience.Lead, motivate, and support the operational team, creating a positive, professional, and high-performing working environment.Ensure all departments work effectively together to deliver a seamless guest journey.Monitor operational performance, productivity, guest feedback, and key performance indicators (KPIs).Drive continuous improvement across service, systems, procedures, and operational workflows.Maintain and develop the standards, culture, and personality that make HYDE a distinctive hospitality destination.Manage staffing levels, rosters, resources, and operational costs effectively.Work closely with suppliers and partners to ensure quality, value, and consistency.Support the management of budgets, revenue, labour costs, and other key commercial targets.Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, health and safety requirements, licensing requirements, and company policies.Respond confidently and professionally to guest feedback, issues, and operational challenges.Work closely with the General Manager and senior leadership team to implement business plans and deliver commercial and operational objectives.Identify new opportunities to improve revenue, efficiency, guest satisfaction, and overall business performance.Support recruitment, onboarding, training, coaching, and development of team members.Lead by example and promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.Key Skills & ExperienceProven experience in an Operations Manager, Food and Beverage Manager, or similar senior hospitality role.Strong operational knowledge across hotel and/or restaurant environments.Excellent leadership and people-management skills, with the ability to inspire and develop a diverse team.Strong commercial awareness with experience managing budgets, labour costs, resources, and KPIs.A genuine passion for delivering an exceptional guest experience.Excellent organisation, communication, and problem-solving skills.Ability to remain calm, positive, and decisive in a fast-paced hospitality environment.Strong attention to detail and high personal standards.A hands-on and visible management style, with a willingness to lead from the front.Ability to build strong relationships with guests, colleagues, suppliers, and business partners.Flexible and adaptable approach, with the ability to manage changing priorities and operational demands.The Ideal CandidateIf you’ll be an experienced hospitality professional who combines strong people leadership with commercial and operational expertise.You’ll be confident taking ownership, making decisions, solving problems, and ensuring that the operation runs smoothly every day.
