Combined with our vast network and extraordinary customer-centric approach, we are the obvious choice in helping you find your next home.We're recruiting on behalf of a well-established client in the Greater Vancouver area, in the manufacturing space, for an Operations Manager to join their leadership team.This is a hands-on leadership role overseeing day-to-day operations across production and finishing, with accountability for safety, quality, throughput, and team performance on the floor. You'll lead a group of supervisors, lead hands, and maintenance and production staff, and be the driving force behind operational excellence.Key ResponsibilitiesLead daily production meetings, operational planning, and process improvement workSet priorities, track performance, and hold the team accountable to safety, quality, delivery, and cost targetsCoach and develop supervisors, lead hands, and production staff, including performance management, cross-training, and succession planningSupport hiring and workforce planning to make sure the right people are in the right rolesWork with scheduling to build and execute production plans that hit customer commitmentsIdentify and resolve bottlenecks, capacity constraints, and workflow inefficienciesBuild recovery plans (schedule changes, overtime, reallocation) when delivery timelines are at riskOversee preventive maintenance planning to keep equipment production-readyRun regular floor walks and audits to check on safety, quality, and housekeeping standardsKeep production, labour, and quality data accurate and current in the ERP systemBring forward recommendations and solutions to leadership, not just problemsWhat You BringProven leadership experience in a manufacturing or industrial production environmentStrong people-management skills, with experience coaching and developing supervisors or team leadsTechnical background in fabrication, machining, or a related manufacturing processComfortable using ERP systems and Excel to analyze capacity, labour efficiency, and delivery dataExperience driving lean manufacturing, 5S, or continuous improvement initiativesStrong planning, problem-solving, and decision-making skillsKnowledge of cutting, forming, or coating processes is an assetWhat's on OfferA stable, well-established employer with long-term growth potentialA supportive, team-oriented culture that values quality and continuous improvementThe chance to make a real impact in a hands-on leadership roleOpportunities to grow your career within a larger organizationAt Humans of HR, we support the development and growth of our candidates to reach their full potential.
