We’re a fast-growing, tech-driven company looking for top talent to help build the future of road travel.THE ROLEWe’re looking for an Operations Manager to lead daily execution across a group of 2–3 depots and approximately 300–450 vehicles.Reporting to the District Manager, you’ll lead Operations Supervisors and their depot teams, ensuring vehicles are ready and delivered on time, teams have the right staffing and knowledge, and operating standards are consistently followed.This is a hands-on, field-based leadership position. You’ll be based at the largest depot within your assigned group, travel frequently between locations, and serve as the first escalation point for critical operational issues.WHAT WILL YOU WORK ON?Lead operational performance across 2–3 depots, delivering service, productivity, quality, and cost targetsManage, coach, and develop Operations Supervisors, setting clear daily and weekly expectationsEnsure vehicles are ready, safe, clean, and available for on-time customer check-ins and check-outsMonitor daily and weekly KPIs, identify performance gaps, and implement corrective actionsManage labor, overtime, scheduling, productivity, and operating expenses within the approved budgetCoordinate workforce coverage across locations, particularly during seasonal and operational peaksEnsure consistent execution of SOPs, safety standards, compliance requirements, and people practicesResolve escalated operational and customer issues and prevent recurrenceImplement new processes, systems, and district initiatives across assigned depotsReport performance, risks, and resource needs to the District ManagerVisit each assigned depot weekly or fortnightly and complete at least one frontline shift per monthServe as the first escalation point when an Operations Supervisor cannot resolve a critical issueMaintain availability during weekends and holidays when operationally necessary, including a Thursday-to-Monday working pattern during the six busiest months of the yearWHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?5–8 years of experience in hands-on operations, ideally within mobility, rent-a-car, logistics, retail, hospitality, or another high-volume customer-facing environmentAt least 2–3 years of experience leading teams, several locations, or one high-volume siteExperience managing labor, overtime, operating costs, scheduling, and location-level budgetsStrong understanding of KPIs, workforce planning, fleet coordination, and operational improvementA visible, hands-on leadership style and willingness to work alongside frontline teamsStrong coaching, problem-solving, and performance-management skillsExcellent communication and stakeholder-management skillsProfessional fluency in English; additional local language capability is a plusStrong Excel or Google Sheets skills and experience with operational or reporting toolsA valid driver’s license and willingness to drive campervansAvailability to travel frequently between assigned depots and respond to critical operational needsBonus points for:Fleet management or vehicle maintenance experienceLean, Six Sigma, safety, project management, or similar operations certificationsExperience implementing operational change across multiple locationsExperience in highly seasonal or geographically dispersed operationsTHE INDIE COMMITMENT!A fast-growing, dynamic environment where you can directly influence operational performanceCareer growth opportunities within Field Operations, including progression toward District ManagerContinuous training, development, and coachingCompetitive total compensation package, including a base salary of $70,000 and performance-based variable compensationPTO, paid sick leave, health insurance, and additional benefitsFree road trips across Europe, North America, and OceaniaAre you ready to Go Indie?
