We are seeking a hands-on Operations Manager to oversee the daily execution of transportation activities while ensuring customer requirements, driver performance, safety standards, and operational objectives are consistently achieved.Shifts Available:1st shift: Monday - Friday / 6:00am - 2:30pm2nd shift: Monday - Friday / 2:00pm - 10:30pmWhat You'll Be Responsible For:Lead the daily transportation operation supporting General MotorsManage dispatchers, supervisors, drivers, and administrative personnelEnsure all customer service, delivery, and operational performance expectations are consistently achievedCoordinate daily route planning, fleet utilization, and driver scheduling activitiesMonitor freight movement, service performance, and operational executionSupport driver recruiting, onboarding, training, coaching, and performance management effortsPartner with customer representatives to resolve issues and maintain strong customer relationshipsEnsure compliance with DOT regulations, company policies, safety standards, and customer requirementsTrack and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to service, safety, productivity, retention, and cost controlInvestigate accidents, service failures, customer concerns, and operational disruptionsManage labor planning, staffing levels, attendance, and workforce development initiativesSupport budgeting, cost control, and operational expense managementIdentify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to improve efficiency and service levelsMaintain a strong operational presence and provide leadership across all shifts as neededWhat We're Looking For:5+ years of leadership experience in transportation, logistics, fleet operations, supply chain, or related operationsPrevious experience managing drivers, dispatch teams, supervisors, and frontline employeesStrong understanding of transportation operations, dispatching, fleet management, and customer service expectationsExperience supporting automotive or dedicated transportation operations preferredStrong leadership, communication, and employee development skillsProven ability to solve problems and make decisions in a fast-paced environmentExperience managing operational metrics and driving performance improvementsWorking knowledge of DOT regulations and transportation compliance requirementsProficiency with Microsoft Office and transportation management systemsBachelor's degree preferred but not requiredValid driver's license required
