Company DescriptionFrontier House DC is a private 501(c)(7) membership club for operators, builders, investors, and civic leaders in the national security community. The clubhouse is a historic 1905 townhome at 1 D Street SE, across from the U.S. Capitol grounds. The standard is discretion, presentation, and a House that is ready when the first member hits the curb.Role DescriptionThe Evening Operations Manager is a full-time, on-site W-2 role at 1 D Street SE, Washington, DC. Monday–Friday, 12:30 PM–7:30 PM, 35 hours per week. Includes a one-hour midday overlap with Day Operations (12:30–1:30 PM) for handoff. The House is closed weekends unless a booked event is separately staffed.Take the House at 12:30 PM. Own the member experience until 7:30 PM. Run the afternoon and evening floor, give tours, support cocktail hour and events, receive vendors, keep the House immaculate, reset what the day used, secure the building on normal operating days, and transmit warm membership leads to the Membership Lead before you leave.This is an early-career seat for someone sharp, polished, and coachable. It is a path to a General Manager role. You execute a checklist at a high standard every evening and provide the best member experience possible.Core work includes:Take the written handoff from Day Operations at 12:30 PMAfternoon walk of floors in use: lighting, temperature, restrooms, common rooms, patio, and access pointsCoffee, hospitality, kitchen and service areas at House standardMember service on shift: phone, welcome, questions, hospitality, member meetings, routine requestsAfternoon and evening tours; meet prospects at events; know categories and dues; explain the HouseCapture conversations, walk-ins, and member referrals in HubSpot; same-day next action for the Membership LeadCocktail-hour hospitality and evening event supportEvent setup and reset; F&B readinessVendor receiving and deliveries; brief photography and confidentiality standardsInventory, supplies, routine administration, and daily logsFacility issues: see it, log it, ticket it, escort the vendorClosing procedures and secure the building by 7:30 PM on normal operating daysWritten close log; every unfinished item leaves with a status, next step, and ownerCompensation is hourly plus uncapped performance commission on qualified new memberships per House policy.QualificationsEarly-career. Sharp, polished, and coachable.Reliable through 7:30 PM. Closing time on normal operating days is fixed.Comfortable on a floor with senior operators, founders, and public officials — including cocktail hour and events.Can walk a room, give a tour, and ask for the next step.Discretion is absolute. Never discuss members, guests, meetings, or conversations.Prior private-club, hotel, restaurant, or high-end front-of-house experience is useful.Able to use HubSpot (or learn it in week one) to log tours and leads the same hour.No task is beneath the role.
