We are recruiting an Operations Manager for a newly created role, taking ownership of our day-to-day operation and helping us support continued growth.Reporting to the company owner, you will manage service delivery, installation scheduling, staff development and operational procedures. Sales staff will report directly to you. This is a hands-on management role with the opportunity to shape how the company operates.Pay and working arrangements· Salary: €40,000–€50,000 basic per annum, plus a quarterly bonus structure.· Full-time, office-based role in Tallaght, Dublin.· Hours: Monday–Thursday, 9:00am–5:30pm; Friday, 9:00am–4:30pm.· 20 days annual leave, with Good Friday off in addition.· A mental health leave day and miscarriage leave policy.· Vehicle or fuel card arrangement.· Laptop & Mobile PhoneYour responsibilities· Run the service department, managing priorities, engineer schedules, workload, customer issues and escalations.· Plan installations and service visits so staff have the equipment, job information and support required.· Manage sales staff, review sales KPIs, coach performance and ensure complete handovers to operations.· Lead recruitment, onboarding, regular staff check-ins, performance reviews and development.· Implement company policies and workflows, explain them to staff and verify that they are used consistently.· Develop induction, training and skills assessment programmes with clear sign-off for independent work.· Set and review operational KPIs and turn findings into improvements in service, quality and customer experience.· Coordinate with administration on orders, deliveries, returns, completion records and invoice readiness.· Lead weekly operations meetings and report on workload, staffing, risks, sales and service performance. Your responsibilities continued· Support ISO preparation, resource planning and company growth; coordinate office move or fit-out work within an agreed scope and budget.Essential experience· Proven experience successfully running a service department or technical field service operation.· Experience hiring staff and managing onboarding, regular check-ins, coaching and performance reviews.· A track record of implementing policies and workflows that staff adopt and use.· Experience organising staff training and assessing its effectiveness.· Experience setting and reviewing service KPIs and delivering measurable improvements.· Strong planning, communication and customer escalation skills, with confidence managing competing priorities.· Sound judgement, constructive challenge and the ability to work closely with an owner-managed business.Desirable experience· Experience directly managing sales staff, reviewing sales KPIs and improving sales-to-service handovers.· Experience in AV, IT, engineering or a related technical service business.· Familiarity with CRM and service management systems, ideally Zoho.· Experience supporting ISO certification or quality management systems.Why join AVITUCBuild a new management function and make a visible difference to a growing company.
