This role oversees daily operations, including workflow management, resource allocation, and coordination between laboratory staff, logistics, and customer service. The Operations Manager monitors performance metrics, and partners with leadership to ensure adherence to safety and quality standards and supports compliance with relevant environmental and regulatory requirements. Responsibilities include optimizing processes, managing budgets, supervising team members, and supporting hiring, training, and performance development. The role also involves collaborating with leadership on operational strategy, addressing operational issues, and driving continuous improvement to maintain efficient, reliable service delivery. Opportunity is offered at a salary range of $95 - $115K, DOE, with competitive benefits.QualificationsDemonstrated experience in operations management, success in a laboratory, environmental services, or related technical setting is a plus.Strong skills in workflow planning, resource management, and process optimization.Effective leadership abilities, including team supervision, coaching, and performance management.Proficiency in using business productivity tools and ability to learn laboratory or operations management software.Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments.Ability to work on-site full time in Rancho Cordova, CA and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.Master’s degree in business, operations management, environmental science, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience. Relevant experience may supplement degree.Experience with KPI tracking; familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies is beneficial.Understanding of environmental analysis workflows and laboratory best practices is a plus.
