About the CompanyTerrazzo Ltd is a specialist epoxy terrazzo flooring company based in Dubai, providing customised flooring solutions for commercial, hospitality, residential and other construction projects.We are looking for a hands-on, technically competent and commercially driven Operations & Business Development Manager to oversee our projects, manage our installation teams and contribute to the company's business development activities.This is an opportunity for an ambitious professional to take responsibility for the day-to-day operations of a growing specialist flooring business, with the potential to progress into a wider general management role.Key Responsibilities1. Project Execution & Site ManagementIndependently manage multiple epoxy terrazzo flooring projects from mobilisation through completion and handover.Supervise and coordinate site labour, ensuring productivity, workmanship and adherence to approved project programmes.Maintain high standards of installation quality, including surface preparation, mixing, application, grinding, polishing and finishing.Coordinate with main contractors, consultants and other subcontractors to resolve site issues and ensure work fronts are available.Monitor project progress, anticipate delays and implement corrective actions.Ensure site safety, material handling and quality requirements are followed.2. Production, Procurement & LogisticsPlan material requirements for upcoming and ongoing projects.Coordinate procurement of epoxy resins, aggregates, pigments, dividers and other required materials.Liaise with suppliers regarding pricing, availability, delivery schedules and technical specifications.Manage material consumption, wastage and stock control.Coordinate labour transportation, drivers, equipment and deliveries to project sites.Ensure resources are allocated efficiently across projects.3. Project Costing & Financial ControlPrepare detailed execution budgets for awarded projects, covering materials, labour, transportation, equipment and other direct costs.Take responsibility for completing projects within approved budgets.Monitor actual expenditure against budgets and report cost variances.Identify opportunities to improve labour productivity, material utilisation and project profitability.Support the preparation of quotations, technical specifications and project cost estimates.Identify additional works and variations and ensure they are documented for commercial approval.4. Business Development & Client RelationshipsSupport the identification and development of new business opportunities in the UAE construction and flooring markets.Build relationships with main contractors, developers, consultants, architects and other prospective customers.Attend client meetings, site visits and technical presentations.Assist in preparing and following up on quotations and commercial proposals.Identify opportunities for additional works, repeat business and new projects from existing customers.Work closely with the sales function to convert enquiries into profitable orders.Contribute to the company's sales pipeline, business development strategy and growth objectives.5. Management & ReportingServe as the primary point of contact for day-to-day operational matters.Provide regular updates to management on project progress, costs, manpower, procurement and outstanding issues.Maintain project budgets, material records, production schedules and quality documentation.Proactively identify operational and commercial risks and recommend solutions.Take ownership of problems and ensure timely resolution without unnecessary escalation.Help develop operational procedures and systems as the company expands.Candidate RequirementsEssentialMinimum 5 years of relevant experience in epoxy terrazzo, resin flooring, industrial flooring or specialist flooring contracting.Strong practical knowledge of flooring installation methods, materials, site execution and quality control.Proven ability to independently manage site teams, subcontractors and multiple projects.Experience in procurement, material planning, project budgeting and cost control.Good understanding of UAE construction-site practices and contractor coordination.Strong communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.Ability to deal directly and confidently with customers, suppliers and contractors.Valid UAE driving licence.Proficient in English.PreferredExisting relationships with UAE contractors, consultants, developers or flooring customers.Previous involvement in business development, sales, quotations or tendering.Experience with epoxy terrazzo mixing, aggregate selection, colour matching, grinding and polishing.Experience managing both production activities and on-site installation.Ability to interpret drawings, specifications and bills of quantities.Commercial awareness and an understanding of project profitability.Ideal Candidate ProfileWe are particularly interested in candidates who combine technical competence, operational ownership and commercial ambition.The successful candidate should be:Hands-on: Willing to spend time on site, manage workers directly and resolve practical problems.Accountable: Comfortable taking responsibility for project delivery, quality, deadlines and approved budgets.Commercially minded: Understands that successful projects must also be profitable projects.Proactive: Anticipates problems, takes initiative and requires minimal day-to-day supervision.Client-facing: Confident engaging with contractors, consultants and prospective customers.Ambitious: Interested in growing with the company and potentially assuming broader business management responsibilities.Career DevelopmentThe position offers the opportunity to develop beyond operational management into broader commercial and general management responsibilities, subject to demonstrated performance, leadership capability and business growth.The successful candidate will work directly with the Managing Director and have meaningful responsibility for both operational performance and the company's development.Performance ExpectationsPerformance will be assessed against:Timely project completion and quality of workmanship.Achievement of approved project budgets and profitability targets.Effective labour, material and logistics management.Minimal avoidable rework and material wastage.Customer satisfaction and resolution of site issues.Identification and conversion of commercially viable business opportunities.Timely, accurate reporting and the ability to operate independently.Application: Interested candidates should submit their CV, current and expected salary, notice period and details of relevant flooring projects previously managed.Pay: AED5,000.00 - AED8,000.00 per monthApplication Question(s):How many years of experience do you have in epoxy terrazzo, resin flooring or specialist flooring contracting?Do you have hands-on technical experience with epoxy terrazzo or resin flooring installation, including mixing, application, grinding and polishing?License/Certification:drivers license (Required)Work Location: In person
