Operations Manager | Tank Logistics

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee and optimize tank logistics activities across a regional network. This role will be responsible for driving operational excellence, ensuring regulatory compliance, improving service delivery standards, and leading a high-performing operations team in support of business growth and customer satisfaction.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide leadership and oversight for end-to-end tank logistics operations across multiple trade lanes and transportation flows.Develop and enhance operational processes, controls, and performance standards to improve efficiency, service quality, and cost effectiveness.Lead, coach, and develop operations teams, fostering accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.Oversee planning and execution activities to ensure optimal equipment utilization, timely deliveries, and operational reliability.Analyze operational performance, identify improvement opportunities, and implement sustainable corrective actions.Ensure adherence to industry regulations, safety standards, and customer-specific operational requirements.Establish and maintain strong partnerships with service providers, transportation partners, terminals, and other external stakeholders.Manage operational expenditures, vendor performance, and service-related costs to achieve budget objectives.Collaborate closely with commercial and customer-facing teams to support customer retention, business growth, and service excellence.Monitor operational KPIs and business metrics, implementing action plans to improve overall performance.Lead the resolution of complex operational challenges and service disruptions while minimizing customer impact.RequirementsBachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Maritime Studies, Business, or a related discipline.Minimum 7 years of experience within logistics, shipping, supply chain, or specialized equipment transportation operations.Proven experience managing tank container operations, intermodal logistics, equipment fleets, or related transportation activities.Strong understanding of regulatory compliance, operational risk management, and safety standards.Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to build, motivate, and develop high-performing teams.Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills across customers, suppliers, and operational partners.Experience managing operating budgets, service providers, and performance metrics.Proficiency in Microsoft Office and logistics management systems.
