Apply & track with Apply EdgeRole DescriptionLead the development and execution of operational plans to ensure resources, capacity, materials, schedules, and workflows are aligned with business requirements.Develop short-term and long-term operational forecasts, capacity plans, production or service schedules, and resource allocation strategies.Analyze demand, inventory, workforce capacity, operational performance, and business priorities to optimize planning decisions.Coordinate closely with operations, supply chain, procurement, warehouse, sales, finance, and other functions to align operational plans and execution.Monitor operational schedules, capacity utilization, inventory availability, service levels, and key performance indicators to identify risks and improvement opportunities.Establish planning processes, standards, controls, and performance measures to improve operational efficiency, accuracy, and responsiveness.Lead the resolution of capacity constraints, scheduling conflicts, supply shortages, operational bottlenecks, and other planning issues.Review changes in demand, customer requirements, supply conditions, and business priorities and adjust operational plans accordingly.Develop and maintain planning reports, dashboards, forecasts, models, and management updates to support decision-making.Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on capacity optimization, resource utilization, inventory efficiency, cost reduction, and service performance.Identify operational risks and develop contingency plans to minimize disruption and maintain business continuity.Lead and coordinate planning activities across teams, ensuring clear ownership, timely communication, and effective execution.Monitor planning accuracy and operational outcomes and implement corrective actions where required.Provide strategic insights and recommendations to management based on operational data, trends, forecasts, and business requirements.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related discipline.Strong understanding of operations planning, demand and capacity planning, inventory management, scheduling, resource allocation, and supply chain processes.Strong analytical and numerical capabilities, with the ability to interpret complex operational data and develop actionable recommendations.Excellent planning, project management, organizational, and problem-solving skills.Strong leadership and stakeholder management abilities, with the ability to coordinate cross-functional teams and influence operational decisions.Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with ERP, APS, MRP, WMS, business intelligence, or other planning systems is an advantage.Good understanding of operational KPIs, forecasting methods, capacity utilization, inventory performance, service levels, and cost management.Strong decision-making skills with the ability to balance demand, capacity, cost, quality, and service requirements.Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain planning insights clearly to management and operational teams.Proactive, strategic, adaptable, and results-oriented approach to operational planning and continuous improvement.Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities, changing requirements, and tight deadlines.Ability to develop practical contingency plans and respond effectively to operational disruptions and changing business conditions.
