Qualifications required

• Tune database performance and responsiveness; allocate memory and processor resources and plan future capacity expansion.
• Monitor user privileges and activities, secure databases and apply controls to address security vulnerabilities.

• Good knowledge of programming languages and Oracle WebLogic 12 application-server systems, including Java, Oracle JDeveloper, Oracle databases, EAR/JAR deployment, LDAP and SSO.
• Install, configure and administer Oracle WebLogic 12 application-server systems.
• Work with Java, Oracle JDeveloper and Oracle databases in support of middleware applications.
• Integrate applications with Active Directory through LDAP authentication and with single sign-on authorization systems.
• Deploy EAR and JAR applications on Oracle WebLogic Server and manage application releases.
• Coordinate continuously with database administrators, analysts, programmers and other technical-team managers.
• Conduct technical studies, analyse middleware and application problems and prepare the required reports.
• Maintain system continuity and application interconnectivity; identify and correct defects and improve performance.
• Analyse application indicators and functions, respond to issues and recommend improvements; provide proactive application support.
• Apply security standards and perform preventive maintenance for systems and applications.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, designs, studies and reports; deliver training and knowledge transfer.
