It also leads the formulation of health policies, including health insurance, through bodies such as the Health Services Council, and pursues diversified, effective financing sources to support the healthcare system.Role Description This full-time, on-site role is for an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Specialist based in Seoul, South Korea, working under the auspices of the Ministry of Health Saudi Arabia. The specialist will perform advanced surgical procedures involving the mouth, jaws, face, and neck, including trauma management, corrective jaw surgery, pathology removal, and implant-related surgeries. Daily responsibilities include assessing patients, interpreting diagnostic imaging, developing treatment plans, performing surgeries in operating rooms and clinics, and monitoring postoperative recovery. The role also involves collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, adhering to evidence-based clinical guidelines, maintaining detailed medical records, and participating in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives. Teaching, mentoring, and contributing to continuing education activities may be part of the role, depending on service needs.Qualifications Clinical expertise in oral and maxillofacial surgery, including management of facial trauma, dentoalveolar surgery, orthognathic procedures, and pathology of the maxillofacial region.Strong diagnostic and treatment planning skills, including proficiency in radiologic interpretation (e.g., CT, CBCT, panoramic imaging) and comprehensive patient assessment.Demonstrated competence in anesthesia and pain management principles relevant to oral and maxillofacial surgery, with a focus on safe perioperative care.Effective communication and collaboration skills for working within multidisciplinary teams and providing clear, compassionate patient counseling.Commitment to evidence-based practice, continuous professional development, and adherence to clinical governance and patient safety standards.Recognized medical or dental degree with specialization in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, and eligibility for licensure/registration as a specialist according to relevant regulatory requirements.Experience in tertiary or hospital-based surgical settings; prior work within government or large healthcare systems is an advantage.Ability to work in a culturally diverse environment; proficiency in English required, and willingness to engage with regional language and cultural practices.
