The team is committed to high-quality clinical outcomes and personalized care, making it an appealing workplace for oral health professionals.Role Description The Oral Hygienist will work full time on-site at our Secunda location, collaborating closely with dentists and support staff to deliver comprehensive preventive and maintenance dental care. Day-to-day responsibilities include performing dental prophylaxis, scaling and polishing, assessing periodontal health, and supporting the management of periodontal disease. The role also involves educating patients on oral hygiene practices, providing individualized preventive care plans, and documenting clinical findings accurately. The Oral Hygienist will help maintain high infection control standards, contribute to a positive patient experience, and support the overall clinical workflow.Qualifications Strong foundation in Dentistry and Dental Care, with the ability to work effectively in a clinical team environment.Proficiency in Hygiene and Dental Prophylaxis, including routine cleaning, scaling, and polishing procedures.Knowledge of Periodontal Disease, including assessment, early detection, and supportive periodontal therapy.Relevant qualification as an Oral Hygienist and current professional registration with the appropriate regulatory body.Commitment to high standards of infection prevention and control, patient safety, and ethical practice.Excellent communication and patient education skills, with the ability to explain treatment and home care clearly.Attention to detail in clinical record-keeping and familiarity with digital dental systems is beneficial.Experience in implant and restorative dentistry settings is an advantage but not required.
