Team members are encouraged to contribute to a culture of respect, collaboration, and continuous improvement in patient care.Role Description The Oral Surgery Assistant is a full-time, on-site role based in Londonderry, NH. This position supports the oral surgeon during examinations and surgical procedures by preparing treatment rooms, setting up instruments and materials, and assisting chairside. Daily responsibilities include sterilizing and organizing equipment, taking and recording vital signs, updating patient charts, and providing pre- and post-operative instructions. The assistant helps manage patient flow, ensures adherence to infection control protocols, and maintains a clean, orderly clinical environment. Additional duties may involve coordinating with front office staff, verifying patient information, and offering compassionate support to patients and their families throughout their visit.Qualifications Clinical support skills, including chairside assisting for oral surgery procedures, instrument preparation, and maintenance of sterile technique.Patient care skills, such as taking vital signs, monitoring patient comfort and safety, and clearly communicating pre- and post-operative instructions.Organizational and administrative abilities, including accurate charting, handling basic scheduling or patient flow coordination, and attention to detail in documentation.Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with surgeons, clinical staff, and front office personnel.Knowledge of infection control standards, OSHA guidelines, and basic dental or oral surgery terminology.Completion of a dental assisting or medical assisting program, or equivalent clinical experience in oral surgery or dentistry.Current certifications such as CPR/BLS; radiology certification and experience in IV sedation settings are preferred.Ability to work on-site full time in Londonderry, NH, maintain professional conduct, and provide inclusive, non-judgmental care to all patients.
