The mission focuses on fostering proficient dental practitioners through high-quality education aligned with local, national, and international market needs, while promoting scientific research that meets national strategies and global standards of health care and community service.Role Description The Oral Surgeon role is a full-time, on-site position based in Abu Dhabi, focused on providing high-quality surgical dental care to patients. Day-to-day responsibilities include performing oral and maxillofacial surgical procedures, conducting thorough clinical examinations, interpreting diagnostic imaging, and developing treatment plans in line with evidence-based practice. The role involves collaborating with multidisciplinary dental and medical teams, supervising or mentoring junior clinicians or students when applicable, and ensuring adherence to clinical protocols, infection control standards, and patient safety guidelines. The Oral Surgeon will also document patient care accurately, participate in case discussions or clinical audits, and contribute to continuous improvement in patient outcomes and service quality.Qualifications Clinical expertise in oral and maxillofacial surgery, including surgical extractions, implants, trauma management, and management of oral pathologies.Strong diagnostic abilities, including clinical examination, radiographic interpretation, and treatment planning skills.Proficiency in patient communication, informed consent processes, and management of patient expectations and anxiety.Commitment to evidence-based practice, continuous professional development, and adherence to infection control and safety protocols.Recognized dental degree (BDS or equivalent) and postgraduate qualification in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery or Oral Surgery.Valid professional license or eligibility for licensure in Abu Dhabi, in accordance with local regulatory requirements.Experience in a hospital or academic teaching environment is highly beneficial; prior involvement in research or clinical audits is an advantage.Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams, demonstrate cultural sensitivity, and maintain high ethical and professional standards.
